FISU President at Opening Ceremony Winter Olympics

Bulgarian short track champion Evgenia Radanova, who captured 1 gold and 3 silver medals at the 2001 Winter Universiade in Zakopane, Poland will participate at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City
Starting today and going on till February 24th, the world will celebrate the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Olympic torch already arrived Thursday in Salt Lake City, the last leg of a 13,500-mile, 46-state journey toward its final destination: the opening ceremony at Rice-Eccles Olympic Stadium.

FISU President George E. Killian will represent FISU at the XIX Winter Olympics and will also attend the Opening Ceremony at the Olympic Stadium. Meanwhile we at the FISU Media Department will keep track of the results of our Universiade student athletes who will participate at the Salt Lake City Winter Games.
